You are a prominent ecologist who has been requested to oversee a study being conducted in the Amazon River Basin (which encompasses 40% of South America). 6 years ago, a population of Emerald Boas was relocated, due to overpopulation, from Southern Argentina and dropped in the Amazon River Basin . However, the effects that this new predator population could have on the ecosystem were not considered when the boas were moved. One of the Emerald Boa's prey is the Squirrel Monkey (Saimiri sciureus), and the South American government is worried that the Boas' presence will disturb or eradicate the Squirrel Monkey population. You have been hired to determine if either population is evolving based on a sample of genotypic and allele frequencies collected over a two year span.
